Our long travel kit takes your 4-Runner to the next level. First to develop a L/T kit for the SUV platform years ago, this kit has been used and raced on throughout the world. Our kit increases wheel travel to 13” and widens the front trackwidth 3.5” per side. We’ve improved front end geometry for better handling and driving characteristics for both on and off-road use. This kit is great for tight and technical trails that require increased articulation and traction along with higher speed desert use needing bottoming control with much stronger components that won’t leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. The chromoly upper arms use polyurethane bushings at the frame pivots. This reduces flexing while under heavy loads and braking while allowing for reduced friction and zero binding. We combine this with an FK 1” uniball that adapts to the spindle with heat-treated stainless spacers for maximum wheel travel. The lower arms are a fabricated boxed design for added strength, more ground clearance and lighter weight. All Camburg lower arms use FK 1” uniballs at the inner pivots. Cheaper poly or delrin bushings have no business at these locations when something better is available. The uniballs allow for zero binding when the suspension cycles up and down and has zero flex under braking, so your geometry and alignment is always consistent. With Toyota’s being aligned by their lower arm, a uniball setup allows for a bind free adjustment and you’re able to torque all the bolts without putting it into a bind. This better clamping force in the frame keeps the holes from ovaling out over time, a lesser chance of the bolts loosening or the alignment cams rotating. You have the ability to run a coilover with a bypass shock and a bump stop for the ultimate control for off-road use. We have Camburg spec. FOX or King 2.5 coilovers and bypass shocks that we’ve designed to yield maximum useable wheel travel and control with specific valving and tube layouts.
