Raylar has developed 10 billet steel hydraulic roller camshaft profiles for the GM's 496-8.1 engine after extensive dynamometer testing on various combinations of our aluminum CNC cylinder heads, intake manifolds, fuel settings and exhaust systems. Our camshafts feature special lifts, durations and ramp rates that take advantage of the lightened valve train of our aluminum "Big Power" CNC cylinder head.
All of our billet steel camshafts are designed to idle at or near stock idle RPMs with broad torque curves for strong power delivery under the curve - where you use it most. All of our billet steel camshafts are designed and manufactured in the USA with the finest billets and ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinding machines.
